Today’s menu features chef’s special surprise!

Truly! I have no idea what was on the menu, but an immature bald eagle seemed to be enjoying it.

“Hey, is that Larry you’re eating?”

The eagle was riding his meal as they slowly headed toward Lowell, pulling out entrails and other long, squishy-looking things. I eliminated a Mallard from the list of possibilities because lunch was white and bulbous. Quite slimy looking too.

Other possible suspects would be a beaver. Nope, again, beaver’s are brown. An otter? Again there’s that brown color issue. A carp? That’s a possibility since I’ve seen some pretty big carp lately. And they are as slimy as, well, as carp! Other than a snow seal, which is also bulbous and would float and have entrails (unfortunately, they don’t like to hang around fresh water, or New England).

I would have to vote for a carp. My friend Jill cast a vote for an otter. Watch the video and cast your vote too. The winner will get absolutely nothing.

Blessed be and Yum! :}
