It’s true, it’s true, spring is here! Today is Ostara, the start of spring! Winter has officially ended (even though it’s snowing as I write this post). Perhaps someone needs to tell old man winter to take a hike. I’ll do it! TAKE A HIKE, OLD MAN WINTER! There, that should do it.

Of course, I don’t need the calendar to tell me spring is here. While Penny and I were out walking this past week, a familiar call was heard over the marsh. Male red-winged blackbirds!
