I’ve been nominated ….

… for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award! I was nominated by Dear Kitty, Some Blog and I am honored to receive this nomination.

To qualify for my nomination, I have some tasks to complete. So, here goes!

Several questions need to be answered first:

What is my favorite color?

Teal! Especially when it’s wrapped around milk chocolate.

What is my favorite animal?  Hmmm, this one is hard since I love all animals (including, sic, insects! Okay, not really but I do feel sad whenever I kill one.) However, if I had to pick one favorite it would be birds. More specifically American Goldfinches!

My favorite non-alcoholic drink?

Good Coffee!

Facebook or Twitter?  Twitter Can you guess why?

My favorite pattern?

The way feathers arrange themselves on the body of a bird!

Do I prefer getting or giving presents? Giving (and getting). Okay, giving. No wait, getting. Oh, but I get embarressed when receiving a present and I do enjoy giving. So, giving. But I like getting too!

My favorite number? 1994 (The year Chris was born.)

My favorite day of the week? Tuesday. That’s my day off and I’m able to meet my sisters for coffee and sisterly chats.

What is my favorite flower? The Cardinal flower

What is my passion? This is a tough question to answer. The definition of passion means “strong and barely controllable emotion.” There are so many things I am passionate about: my son, my family, my life. If I must choose one thing, something that involves a strong emotion, it would be watching a bird in flight. My heart soars with each beat of its wings. However, I love the scents of Mother Earth when I’m gardening, so, my answer should be gardening. Photography! Sitting on the retaining wall, drinking my morning coffee and listening to the ducks as they go about their business. Talking with Chris late at night. Oh dear, so many passions. Many have said I feel too deeply about far too many things. Can this be true? Can a person feel deeply about too many things? No. Helen Keller once said, “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.”  So, after a long-winded response, I must choose living as my passion.

Whew! The next task is to nominate at least 10 blogs I find a joy to read and let the bloggers know I nominated them. Here is the list of blogs I recommend and will be nominating:

  1. Through the Peacock’s Eyes
  2. 5 minutes more please
  3. Dear Kitty. Some blog
  4. Waiting for the Karma Truck
  5. Witches Of The Craft
  6. Trash Paddler
  7. Living Wicca Today
  8. Buddha’s Menu
  9. Powered by Birds
  10. The Draft Diaries
  11. A Universal Visionary

There, all my tasks are completed. Thank you, again, Dear Kitty, for the nomination.

Before I end this post, I want to mark imbolc. The Northern hemisphere is at midwinter, with the darkness receding and the light expanding. To celebrate, I’ll be planting an indoor herb garden. My new window sills are the perfect width to hold the small terra cotta pots. Each time I tend the seedlings, I’ll be reminded that Spring is coming. Blessed be :}

About tinthia

Wondering, searching, and wandering, I'm an earth witch with a desire to get it right in my lifetime. The flow of the river feeds my inner goddess and fuels my soul. Blessed be. :}
